COVID GOVERNMENT UPDATE

I hope you’ve had a wonderful Easter.

As you may have seen, the PM announced last night that the next step of the reopening roadmap, step 2, can take place as planned on 12 April. So non-essential retail, personal care, and outdoor hospitality amongst other things can reopen from that date. The PM also announced an expansion of the testing programme, with everyone in England able to apply for testing kits to be used twice weekly at home https://www.gov.uk/government/news/twice-weekly-rapid-testing-to-be-available-to-everyone-in-england

Finally, an update on the reviews taking place alongside the roadmap (on covid certification, events, international travel and social distancing) was also published https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-response-spring-2021-reviews-terms-of-reference/roadmap-reviews-update
